Bathroom remodel: cabinets with legs. This project, done in 2008 for Phil Rappa Construction, involved creating cabinetry of a modified American Arts & Crafts style to match a magazine photograph.

Closet built-ins: hidden storage. This project, done in 2008 for Mill Creek Construction, added drawer storage to five closets. Although these units were painted, they could have been done in any species of wood, solid or veneer, that the customer desired.

Library bookcase retrofit: making new match old. This project, done in 2008, involved removing a shelf without damaging the rest of the structure, adding a new shelf at a new elevation, and building bifold flat-panel doors.

Fireplace surround and mantel: arch and rope molding. This project, done in 2007, required steam-bending of some molding, intricate mitering, and developing a special finish to match an existing kitchen island.

Chevron drawers: corner cabinet. This project, done in 2007, required specially shaped drawers and drawer heads for a kitchen corner cabinet. It used sequence-matched select white maple.

Corbels: mantel details. This corbel and its mate were created in 2006 to be placed atop the side columns of a mantel-style oven–range hood.

Fireplace mantel and surround with wet bar: Greek style. This was completely new construction, done in the early 1990s, for an undecorated fireplace and nook.

Kitchen remodel: curved corners. This project was a two-tone Formica kitchen remodel done in the late 1980s. Note the corner desk with a pivot drawer.

Wall unit: open bullnosed shelving. This was a pickled white oak open bookcase and display case built in the late 1980s.

Kitchen remodel: mahogany and ash. This European-style kitchen used clear-lacquered mahogany and ash to make a dramatic statement. Built in the mid-1980s, it included a peninsula with stainless-steel legs.

Wall unit: wet bar and media center. This unit, created in the mid-1980s, was nearly 25 feet long. The entire unit was laminated in two tones of Formica, entailed gold-tone inlays and multiple pedestals, and had radiuses everywhere.
